Our walk with the Lord once we are baptized by the presence of His Spirit ( Holy Spirit) will give us a constant hunger of His nature, presence and understanding of who He is as our God Almighty thru Jesus Christ. Next to this is an enthusiasm (fire) to share your experiences with God to other people. As I look back to my journey when I first encountered Him as a TRUE AND LIVING GOD, I would buy and read any books about Christianity that I could get my hands into - that is in addition to the Bible. The way how the Bible is written is from a very high spiritual dimension that for most carnal people - you will either fall asleep in your attempts of reading the contents or it is hard for you to fully understand the concepts that is intended on those 66 books written by so many authors. The books from christian bookstores will help us understand those biblical concepts since those are written in a more layman terms.
Also, when we are new in the Lord - we are on fire because of the Holy Spirit that is planted within us and one pitfall that we need to avoid is not testing the spirit that is within us especially when we are trying to live and share our faith to the people around us. One of the worst things I have done is creating a sprit of "guilt or condemnation" to the person that I have shared my testimony of Christ. Back then I did not realize my error but in a hindsight - I can see that what I had done had created that kind of spirit in that persons life. When we are aware of this - we have to confess that sin. It is not a conscious sin but nonetheless we have to confess that to break the yoke or bondage created between you and that person you have done it to.
The word Baby Christian is a lingo in Christian communities and churches have systems and processes that helps new believers grow in their faith properly. In the big picture these are Evangelization ( introduction to Christ) and Shepherding ( teaching) Programs. A baby Christian will need these structures because the walk is a constant " spiritual battle" that will grow in its dimension - once the Lord lives within you. The Collective covering will strengthen you and impart a lot of giftings to you that if you are just doing it all in your own, is sort of impossible to attain.
Seek always the Lords guidance daily and He is always faithful and will never forsake you.
2 Timothy 2:13 ESV
If we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.
